Edmontonians, save the date! On March 22, FAVA and YEG Animation present Ani Made In Canada, a collective exhibition of Canadian Artists Animation Cels at The Orange Hub, #139, 10045-156 St. NW at 2pm. See original cels from Lynn Johnston’s animated series, chat with animator Ron Lamarre, see Jasper The Bear originals, and see Lynn speak over Zoom. Cels and art will be available for purchase.

Lynn has written her Alottabotz books in verse. These videobooks have been designed to introduce children to the rhyme and rhythm of poetry. Reading to young children helps them develop good reading comprehension skills. Poetry helps to build vocabulary. Your child is guaranteed to learn a new word or two while reading Alottabotz!
The books are geared toward children aged 3-6, but they are enjoyable at any age!

Lynn will be participating in a creators’ panel at the Beyond The 2 Solitudes In Comics conference. The conference is part of a research project with a goal of promoting dialogue between different Canadian communities (francophone, anglophone and Indigenous) in the world of comics. It will be held May 8th, 2025, in Vancouver at Simon Fraser University, Harbour Centre. It’s open to the public at no charge.
